The Art of the Leak

My Media Bullseye column for this month went up yesterday and it’s on something that’s bugged me for some time – the art of the leak and how most communications and public relations professionals fail to utilize the Internet enough in executing them.

Mainly I say that in the day and age of Twitter you can’t expect to have a name leak out and for people to not look for information on your news until you do your “official” unveiling. Need to think about Google ads, Web sites, etc to make sure you’re ahead, not behind, the curve. I use the Sotomayor announcement as an example.
