Clean up on aisle 1 and 2 and 3 and …

Now starts the great clean up of DC after Snowmageddon 3 yesterday. With that storm the area officially surpassed the record from 1898-1899 of most snowfall. I made it into work this afternoon and the roads – where plowed – were great thanks to the sun shining on them. But if you aren’t plowed or they chose to put big snow piles in a certain lane, you’re still screwed. Also lots of dump trucks on 395 taking snow somewhere – perhaps Vancouver for the Olympics. Photos below. Am also going to attempt getting to the Tidal Basin this afternoon to grab some shots, will just depend on if I can find parking or not.

In other fun news too I got my first photo featured on Flickr’s interestingness archives. Very excited about that.

Meanwhile here are some photos I took today:

Union Station covered in snow

Snow higher than the taxi cabs
