Yesterday Marc Benton hosted the first photowalk in a long time (since September I think) in DC. First we hit up the National Archives who on the 24th is banning all photography in the building. Couldn't get very many shots in there at all due to the no flash, no tripod rule but always fun to see the Declaration and Constitution again.
Afterwards the bunch of us headed up to Chinatown for the Chinese New Year Parade. It's a short parade (I think the route is longer than the participants) but they had the colorful dragons and lions I was hoping for. It was hard to get good shots when they forced everyone on the sidewalk and thank goodness for my zoom but a few came out. In full disclosure I helped the blurred background on the dragon one in Photoshop.
