Last night the moon was what NASA calls a super moon because it’s at it’s closest point to Earth. This happens only once every 18 years. I debated about where in DC to go for this event. Ended up at the Tidal Basin to enjoy the scene before tourists descend upon it soon for the cherry blossoms. I thought about going up to the Iwo Jima memorial, but was worried about the angle. Sounds like that spot would have worked just as well, but I like some of the shots I got. I definitely wasn’t the only photographer there. There were at least 20 of us looking at our various iphone apps trying to determine where the moon would show.
