Currently I work at Facebook in their DC office as the Associate Manager for Policy. I will be working with elected officials and campaigns on the best ways for them to use Facebook. Previously I was at the National Republican Senatorial Committee as their Chief Digital Strategist in charge of all their online efforts. Prior to the NRSC I worked at DCI Group, a public affairs firm in DC, where I oversaw all of their internet operations and online activities for clients. An active participant in online campaigning and communications since 2003, I've also spoken at forums on how to best utilize the Internet in politics including Personal Democracy Forum and the Institute for Politics, Democracy and the Internet at George Washington University. In 2009 she was named a Campaigns and Elections Rising Star.
Before re-joining DCI Group as a director in the Online Services division in 2008, I was the Deputy eCampaign Director for Rudy Giuliani’s Presidential Campaign. There, I was responsible for the Mayor’s day-to-day Internet strategy including development of his campaign Web site, blog management, online videos and social networking.
Prior to the Giuliani campaign I held my first job at DCI Group in the Online Services division as a Senior Account Manager. I originally joined the firm after working as a Communications Director for a Congressional campaign in Ohio.
During the 2004 cycle, I worked at the Republican National Committee where I was responsible for GOP.com – the national party’s Web site.
I am a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Political Science. I am originally from Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Hi Katie,
I am fascinated by your background. Congratulations on your accomplishments and hard work. I worked in politics for many years and in ’04 I left and started working in TV. I am now transitioning back to politics. In ’09 I began the process of starting my own company. I realized how much TV and politics have in common just different players. I have a consulting company where we take entertainment tools and techniques and apply them to political campaigns. Everything from print, social, and new media to media training, talent booking etc. Anyway I came across your tweets and wanted to send you a message. If you have any time to email or chat I would love to talk.
Best,
Jessica
