Frankie Photos
Submitted by katieharbath on Mon, 10/06/2008 - 13:35Jo Ann and Kendra pointed out to me this weekend I hadn't put many pictures of Frankie up lately. So here's three new ones for you to enjoy. Maybe we'll have more at Halloween if I decide to dress her up or not. :)
Sarah Palin's Debate Win
Submitted by katieharbath on Fri, 10/03/2008 - 08:50Sarah Palin did awesome last night. I think most everyone agrees that she won. I'd explain more, but instead I'll let the great Peggy Noonan do it. Her column today is really good. In short, she says, "She killed. She had him at 'Nice to meet you. Can I call you Joe?"
How texts and twitter might change the ground game on election day
Submitted by katieharbath on Tue, 09/30/2008 - 15:40On October 14th I'll be speaking on a panel at the National Press Club about how mobile technology has changed this year's election. Today thanks to TechPresident.com I was made aware of this post by Ed Cone who looks at how texts and Twitter might make a difference on Election Day ... that is if they work.

Submitted by katieharbath on Wed, 09/24/2008 - 21:37My good friend Eric has launched a new blog: Ericlifeconcierge.com
If you're looking for food recommendations, places to go out, pretty much advice on anything, Eric's your go-to guy. He's been joking about being a life concierge for awhile now, and last night when we were at Old Ebbitt he came up with the idea of the blog which is now up. He's also on twitter @lifeconcierge. Go read and follow!
Vegas Roundup
Submitted by katieharbath on Sun, 09/21/2008 - 18:46Am currently sitting in the Vegas airport waiting to fly back to DC. Have to say this Vegas trip was all I hoped it could be. Started off rocky, but ended strong. Below is the cliffsnotes version of my thoughts. Will also post pictures ... probably tomorrow as my laptop is about to die.
Best food: Emeri's in MGM
Worst food: Mario Batali's restaurant in the Venetian
Best glitzy hotel/casino: Mandalay Bay
Best dive casinos: Fremont Street
Biggest disappointment: Caesars Palace (the Venetian is a close second here. It was a beautiful hotel, but the stuff in it was too Disney)
Best nighttime show: Bellagio fountains for sure
Worst: Fremont Street Light Show
Best casino: Bills has a special place in my heart
Best game: Blackjack (I got a lot of 'em)
Best really, tall crazy drink glass: Tie between my Eiffel Tower glass and my Boot
Craziest thing I did: Taking a shot of jaeger then being spanked by a German waitress
Best conference panel: Chris Brogan's blogging and PR
Worst panel: First twitter one
Day 2, Part I
Submitted by katieharbath on Fri, 09/19/2008 - 19:00I'm saying part one because we haven't even hit nighttime yet on day 2. Day 2 MUCH better so far than day 1. Went to Treasure Island for breakfast in honor of talk like a pirate day. It was good, nothing special. Then proceeded to make our way down to Mandalay Bay. Took us forever, but it was much nicer than the hotels we were at last night. Played us some video poker, we each won (Eric more) then headed up to Margaritaville to meet up with Turk. Proceeded to have margaritas and then head to the Paris hotel where all three of us got big margaritas in plastic glasses that look like the Eiffel tower. We figured we were in Vegas we should get at least one cheesy glass. Then headed to Bills Casino where I had tons of fun (and doubled my money) playing $5 blackjack. Finally, saw two wonderful fountain shows at the Bellagio before heading to the hotel for some nappage. Tonight we go to Emerils in MGM then to old school Vegas. We definitely like the dive-ier places more than your glitzed up clubs on the strip.
Tomorrow, Blog World Expo 08 starts.
