2010 Camera Portrait

2010 Camera Portrait Last year when I started on my 365 day project the first picture I took with my Nikon D60 was one of me taking a picture. Now that I’m on my second 365 day project I thought it’d be cool to do another one. Today I also discovered the Topaz Adjust Photoshop filter from Scott Kelby’s best of 2009 list and I don’t know why I haven’t found this plug in before but I LOVE IT. Makes things look so much cooler. Here’s a pic of my dad’s dog Jack retrieving a pheasant. One of my other photography goals for 2010 is to work more on my post processing so...

Coffee – Need Lots of Coffee

Coffee – Need Lots of Coffee The past few days have been very early wake up calls so coffee has kept me going. Today wasn’t too exciting – just a lot of waiting in Memphis Airport and unpacking now that I got home – so the daily photo is of a cafe latte I had while hanging in the Delta SkyClub lounge. If you look at my photos from last year I took quite a few of coffee – i have this grand plan to use them someday for a print or book but who knows. I am not looking forward at all to going back to work tomorrow. On the bright side I have lots of photos to still process from my trip home and to...

Sunset in the duck blind

Sunset in the duck blind Today was our last hunt with the good folks at Popa Duck Lodge here in Arkansas. Wake up call again was at 4:30 am and we were on the boats headed for the lake by 5:45am. Arkansas is so flooded right now that most of the roads have 15 feet of water over them so everything was by boat. Didn’t see as many ducks this morning as we did yesterday – was too cloudy. But we did get 13 this morning and then headed out this afternoon to the rice fields to see if we couldn’t conjure up some more. Where as in the wild life refuge we are in boats hunting, in the rice fields we’re...

Good bye 2009, hello 2010

Good bye 2009, hello 2010 So last new years one of my resolutions was to take a picture every day in 2009 a task I’m pretty proud to say I accomplished. Not all of the pictures are all that pretty, but I really enjoyed it. To see all 365 of them you can see them here on my flickr page. For 2010 I wanted to keep the 365 photo project alive but give it a twist. This year I’m going to try and blog every day about each picture rather than just putting it on flickr. I’m hoping it’ll help me hone my blogging skills. The first picture for 2010 comes from the first day of the duck hunt my dad, brother...

2009 Holiday Card

2009 Holiday Card I have a feeling this is going to become a tradition with me. But thanks to photoshop and shutterfly I made a custom Christmas card this year. The tree is a collage of some of my favorite photos this year.
