Last night the moon was what NASA calls a super moon because it's at it's closest point to Earth. This happens only once every 18 years. I debated about where in DC to go for this event. Ended up at the Tidal Basin to enjoy the scene before tourists descend upon it soon for the cherry blossoms. I thought about going up to the Iwo Jima memorial, but was worried about the angle. Sounds like that spot would have worked just as well, but I like some of the shots I got. I definitely wasn't the only photographer there. There were at least 20 of us looking at our various iphone apps trying to determine where the moon would show.

I hope, that soon I'll be able to get to regularly posting of photos and this trip to California for two weeks certainly gave me plenty of opportunities (500 good photos to at least process, out of over 1600 taken). I've only just gotten four processed thus far, all below, but more will be coming soon.

I know posting on my blog has been slim to none since Fall when first I had the Election, then the holidays and now a new job to worry about. I hope, that soon I'll be able to get to regularly posting of photos and this trip to California for two weeks certainly gave me plenty of opportunities (500 good photos to at least process, out of over 1600 taken).
