Five years ago today Morgan and I packed up our cars, said good bye to our college years and began our jaunt to DC. Neither of us were quite sure what to expect. We had no jobs lined up or an apartment, but everyone told us we had to be in DC to get a job. So we went. And we got lucky. Both of us had jobs within a month of coming here and we found a great place pretty quickly.

It's certainly been a roller coaster of a five years too. Two Presidential campaigns, 3 moves and 6 jobs later here I am. No regrets on the job front. I wouldn't do some of them again for fear of actually going to the looney bin, but they all made me a better person in some way. I mean heck, five years ago there was no YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, etc. Live streaming from my phone, yeah right. Pretty darn exciting if you ask me. I like doing this.

On the personal side of life, there are a few things I wish I would have done differently but overall, I can't ask for better friends than I have here. I don't know what the next five years holds, but if it's anything like the last five, they're bound to be pretty fun.
